Highest Safety and Quality for Electrical Equipment
Our overhaul process adheres to MP87.2 and AS/NZS 3800:2020 standards, ensuring the highest safety and quality for electrical equipment used in explosive atmospheres.

Rutherford Electrical Engineering Services (REES) has an approved Flameproof license under the ANZEx RSF scheme for overhaul and repair of explosion protected electrical plant. In our licenced workshop our expert technicians inspect, test and overhaul of Ex ‘d’ type back to back couplers, dummy plugs, monitoring plugs and receptacles with quality and precision in mind.
Our services include:
- Workshop overhaul of Back to Back couplers, receptacles, dummy and monitoring plugs
- All overhauls are carried out to AS/NZS 3800:2020
- Dimensional testing to approved product certification.
- All products stripped and bead blasted
- Couplers painted to the approved colour scheme
- Dimensional measurement of end covers
- Units are re-assembled and fully tested
- We carry a stock of brand new back to back couplers to ensure we meet your timeframes
